Dr Bertrand obtained a Bachelors of Science in Physics from McGill University. He then did a master’s in nuclear physics under Claude Leroy’s (Rutherford prize) supervision where he was invited to do research at CERN (European center for nuclear research in Geneva, Switzerland) and at the INFN (Italian National Institute for nuclear research) in Milano, Italy.

In 1994 he obtained a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from University of Montreal. Since then, he partices general dentistry with specific interest in root canal therapy, oral surgery and implantology. As of 2012, he is a fellow of the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute and is also a fellow of the ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantology).

Dr Bertrand is known by his patients specifically for his human and individualized approach. He is committed to social projects such as the Enbridge fundraiser against cancer of the Montreal Jewish General Hospital for wich he will bike ride from Montreal to Quebec City!

Don’t be surprised if you are greeted with Mozart, Chopin or Beethoven, as Dr. Bertrand has a strong passion for classical music. He regularly practices piano, having a particular affection for Beethoven piano sonatas.

Among his other interests, he’s been collecting bonsai for more than thirty years and also loves to dance tango. Finally, Dr Bertrand is able to communicate fluently in French, English, Italian, Spanish, Armenian and Arabic.

Dr. Morais-Gonçalves obtained her doctorate in dental medicine in 2009 from Laval University. The following year, she broadened her skills and dental knowledge at Notre-Dame Hospital by completing University of Montreal’s multidisciplinary residency program.

In 2011, she was invited to join the dental team of the Notre-Dame Hospital. At the hospital’s dental clinic, she works closely with the radiation oncology department, treating patients with head and neck cancers. In addition, she oversees the training of dentistry residents and participates in hospital dental research programs.

She joined Dr. Christian Bertrand Dental Center in 2010. Gentle, meticulous and authentic, Dr. Morais-Gonçalves pays particular attention to the comfort and well-being of her patients. Her primary objective is to provide dental quality care while remaining attentive to individual patient needs.
